Don't Believe the Worship Hype

Podcast Episode #42

What are the messages you hear about worship? Where do they come from and do they have the best intentions?

We've got a full house as all the Worship Artistry teachers jump on to discuss what matters, what doesn't, and how to tell the difference.

Jason Houtsma is the co-founder and guitar teacher at Worship Artistry, where he is helping musicians of every level answer the call to worship with passion and confidence. Jason has been leading worship and writing music since he was 15 years old and currently serves as Worship Pastor for Mosaic Church in Bellingham, WA. How Not to Buy the Worship Hype

Yes, yes, yes! Our team has had this exact conversation. We are a church of 150. We use no clicks, no tracks- much of the reason is that I rarely do songs in recorded keys or in some of these very long arrangements. We work very hard at making the songs our own. And, as you said, there are some we just don’t do. Worship Artistry lessons have been super helpful to us as we bring in new songs. It helps us filter out all the stuff we don’t or can’t use. Thanks for all you do! Beth Ivers, WL, New Vision Church
