Change Is Good

New Faces and New Places

2020 was a tough year for all of us and the Worship Artistry team was no exception. Covid changed the landscape and two of our instructors were casualties. No, they didn't die (Thank God) but both drum instructor Josh Ward and Vocal instructor Shelby Rollins lives were changed enough that Worship Artistry was no longer a fit.

Knowing that people of that caliber are difficult to replace, they both made heroic efforts to keep us floating while we searched for their successors. We are eternally grateful to have had them on the team, but their successors have been found and we are excited to introduce them.

First, on the drums, Mr. Sidney Joseph

Sidney hails from Nashville, TN by way of Durban, South Africa. He's an incredible talent, a great teacher and loves to have fun. Between him and Daniel the laughs never stop. Get to know him by learning Kristian Stanfill's Breakthrough Miracle Power, and checking out this week's episode of The Worship Artistry Podcast

And on vocals the husband and wife team of Chris and Joy Lockwood

Chris and Joy are a great team both in the studio and the home. You have to be with 4 kids! They both sing and teach with passion that's authentic and inspiring. They'll be on the podcast next week but in the meantime you can see and hear them in action with on Breakthrough Miracle Power and Great Things. Give it a go.

New places

With the slowdown of lesson production, we had the opportunity to upgrade our studios. New cameras, better lighting and higher quality streaming have all been implemented on the our lessons for 2021. That's just the beginning as we continue improving everything we do.

New Inspiration

Sometimes you have to take a step back to take ten steps forward. We really believe this year has been that for us. With new blood comes new energy and we are just getting started. We've got some big dreams and new features for the Worship Artistry community this year and we think you're going to like them. We're off and running. Stay on top of what's going on by following us on Instagram and Facebook. Cheers!

Jason Houtsma serves as Worship Pastor for Mosaic Church in Bellingham, WA, Husband to Alli, Father to Bjorn and Asher, and guitar instructor for WorshipArtistry.com

I watched Mr. Joseph play Breakthrough Miracle and watched with the “overhead” view while not seeing “front” or “kick”. I am hoping at least “front” will be available on other songs. The “kick” view is also occasionally helpful. It is certainly possible that these “views” are accessed a different way now but I missed it. Thanks.
