Learn From The Greats

A little quarantine inspiration

I've been spending sometime exploring the internet for some inspiration and I've found some in my favorite songwriters. Here are a few of my favorites.

Jason Isbell is one of the most talented guitarists and songwriters I know of. His story of redemption in the midst of drug and alcohol addiction is inspiring and beautiful. The dude can also play.

The Building is a lesser known band I've really grown to love. The song "Have To Forgive" is one of my favorites. I'm going to warn you he does use one word I wouldn't approve of my kids using, but the sentiment is so real and the message of the song so good, I don't think it gets in the way.

John Prine was a prolific writer and storyteller. He lost a battle to Coronavirus and the world is a little worse for it.

So this is what's been inspiring me. What's inspiring you?

Learn from the Greats

Jason thanks for posting. There is so much great music out there and I agree, it can inspire and make us better in many ways. Music is a special gift from the Lord I think, lifting us a bit out of the daily grind to see inwardly to our souls.
