Worship Tutorials founder and tone junkie Brian Wahl joins the podcast to talk Helix, AXE-FX, Kemper, Impulse Responses (IRs) and both their advantages and disadvantages.

I'd have to agree with Brian on a lot of the points he made. I was a purist for so long! (I still have my Bogner Goldfinger 45, 2x12 cab, and a pedal board full of boutique pedals) but we needed to control volume in the worship center (mostly stage volume). I also found myself fiddling with settings between songs and tapping in tempos, and doing the notorious pedal dance to go from rhythm to lead and back again to quiet ambient.
AXEFX changed all this for me. Now I build songs and scenes, preset all volumes, tempos, effects and I can worship more. And when I listen to our livestream recordings I smile. Once you find your tone, it all becomes easier. Brian's site has a lot of great starting points to find your tone.
I still break out my amp and pedals on special occasions only to head back to the AXEFX for simplicity. Rock on brothers and sisters!
