Thoughts on "Worthy Of It All" by CeCe Winans

There’s something about the way Worthy Of It All hits home, and it’s not just the way CeCe Winans' vocal just crushes it.

Let’s look at the lyrics:

All the saints and angels
They bow before Your throne
All the elders cast their crowns
Before the Lamb of God and sing

You are worthy of it all
You are worthy of it all
For from You are all things
And to You are all things
You deserve the glory

Day and night night and day let incense arise

As you sing, play, and lead Worthy Of It All, think about what that 3-letter word “all” encompasses. Every moment, every thought, every mistake. Every heartbreak, effort, failure, and victory. Every penny, every breath, every cell, every pain, and every soul.

I love the picture of those high ranking elders ripping off their crowns and throwing them at the feet of Jesus. In His presence there is no rank, pretense or pride, there is only Him.

As we sing Worthy Of It All, we enter into that great worship service of heaven that continues for all eternity. Day and night, night and day let incense arise.
