Fishman Aura Spectrum DI: Demo and Review

One of the biggest frustrations with playing acoustic guitar live is that it doesn't ever sound the way it does in your bedroom.

After hearing Jason Isbell use it on his Live At The Ryman album, our lead guitar instructor Jason Houtsma took a leap and picked up the Fishman Aura Spectrum DI too. He was glad he did.

"When I use the Fishman Aura Spectrum DI, my guitar sounds more like my guitar when I'm leading worship."

In this video Jason explains a bit about how the Aura technology of the Spectrum DI works, and then demos a number of the sound banks of the Spectrum DI with both strumming and fingerpicking.

Fishman Aura Spectrum DI Review Highlights

- Fishman Spectrum is a great DI. If you don’t have one, this is a good pick with good sound.

- The Aura technology is where it’s at! This tech allows you to blend different sounds into your pickup signal to reproduce specific guitar image sounds.

- This DI does a great job of adding more of that live sound back into an acoustic guitar.

We hope you find this review and demo of the Fishman Aura Spectrum DI helpful. If you want to pick it up yourself, you can shop new and used Fishman Aura on Reverb.com.

This is the best DI I've ever used.

I've had it for 3 years now, and it's consistently awesome tone. Use some modulated reverb with this, and fingerpicked acoustic sounds heavenly.
