Pedal Demo and Tutorial: J Rockett Archer Overdrive
Punch your amp in the face.
Looking for Klon tone without the Klon price tag? I think you're going to dig this.
Overview
The Archer is a hefty classic sounding overdrive built like a tank. It can serve as both a clean boost as well as overdrive. As I mentioned in the video it's not really my cup of tea so I thought I'd post a few more vids to give a more detailed perspective. Check it:

What riff are you playing when you crank the gain at 1:18 in the video? I've heard you play it before, but I can't place it. That sounds like a song I would want to learn.
Ha!

That's pretty much a riff I came up to use in the demos so you can hear both the sustained chords and the single notes. Looks like I need to come up with a few more!

I use lights on my Martin because it is smaller but heavier guitars like dreadnoughts can benefit from the thicker tone that medium and heavy gauge provide.
I use Elixirs on my acoustic and D'addario on my electrics so both!
