Earthquaker Devices Palisades: Demo and Tutorial
With its sweet drive and mid-boost that helps you cut through the mix, the Tube Screamer is a legend. But like any legend there are a million versions. Earthquaker Devices set out to create a pedal that fit every version into a single box.
What resulted was the Palisades and I have to say it lives up to the hype. With 480 different possible combinations, you will be hard pressed to want a tube screamer tone this beauty can't deliver. That said, it can be a little intimidating to know where to start so I put this video and post together to both teach how the pedal works as well as give you some basic tones to start with. Once you've got those dialed your imagination is your only limit. My signal chain is guitar > Palisades > Vox AC30.

If you can get past the assault on the eyes this one is it will let you hear it in the context of other music.

Been watching this pedal for some time. Received an email from Pro Guitar Shop that showed it for sale for $150. Of course that was a price mistake! LOL. I will probably pick one up in the near future. Thanks for another demo video on this pedal.
That's just cruel.

It's a really great pedal. I love tweaking the knobs. It was a learning curve but I can get whatever I want out of it. Well worth the investment if your budget allows.
Okay wow...

So yeah, that sounds pretty amazing Jason! So I guess getting one of these may the way to go, and I like your reasoning, about 2 different OD pedals versus this one. To piggyback on my other comment from the other post, what pedal types and suggestions would you make to one just starting a board used primarily for worship? My thoughts are these:
Delay - thinking the TC Electronics Alter Ego X4
Reverb - Hall of Fame by TC but I'm definitely open to suggestions on this one...
OD - I think this video sold me on the Earthquaker and wondering what else they make that's worth checking out too??
I've got a Boss TU3, RC30 and the VP Jr already... what do you use a compressor pedal for? Why is it suggested to get a power supply instead of daisy-chaining your pedals on the board? Sorry for all the questions!!
