Ten Great Thanksgiving Themed Worship Songs

Grace and Gratitude

What’s the best part of halloween being over? Getting ready for Thanksgiving, of course! Sure there’s the turkey, stuffing and football, but the best part is the intentional time of gratitude. Here our favorite worship tunes to bring your heart in line with the season.

1. Great Is Thy Faithfulness (Beginning To End) - One Sonic Society

"Summer and winter and springtime and harvest

Sun, moon and stars in their courses above

Join with all nature in manifold witness

To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love"

Not only does God’s faithfulness put us in default posture of gratitude but this great hymn’s lyrics invoke the season with “harvest” being the standout. Check out One Sonic Society’s version featuring Mike Weaver that adds a simple and relevant chorus to the age old standard. You can learn Great is Thy Faithfulness (Beginning To End) here.

2. The Goodness of God - Bethel Music

"From the moment that I wake up until I lay my head

I will sing of the goodness of God"

Bethel’s foray into country strikes the right tone for this song. Not over the top but a feel good anthem that keeps the focus on the work of Christ. Lot’s of great lead guitar work that will have you thankful we have a tutorial for it. Watch our The Goodness of God tutorial here.

3. Blessed Be Your Name - Matt Redman

"Blessed be Your name on the road marked with suffering

Though there’s pain in the offering Blessed be Your name"

Sometimes the table is overflowing with food, joy and laughter while others it’s bare, lonely and sorrowful. Matt Redman’s “Blessed Be Your Name” recognizes that God is good regardless of our circumstances. You know, circumstances like a divided country in the midst of a pandemic. Stuff like that. "Oh Great is our God so we should worship greatly

No song is too loud   No orchestra to stately

To hail the majesty of our King so lift Your voices loud as we sing"

5. Great Are You Lord - All Sons And Daughters

"It’s Your breath in our lungs

So we pour out our praise   We pour out our praise"
